Investigations 3 is an inquiry-based mathematics program for grades K-5. It was developed by TERC with funding from the NSF and more than 25 years of research and development behind it. Lessons are designed to help students develop understanding and fluency as they collaborate, problem-solve, explain and justify reasoning, and make connections. |

Connected Mathematics is a problem-centered mathematics program for grades 6-8. It was developed at Michigan State University and funded by the NSF. Lessons and tasks are designed to engage students and help them develop understanding of important concepts, skills, and procedures. |
