Grades 8-12 Instructional Model Survey:
Onondaga County is currently considering revising the physical distancing requirements that schools must follow. This could give Skaneateles CSD the ability to provide in-person instruction for grades 8-12 five days per week. In order to plan, we need to know how many students in grades 8-12 would attend in-person instruction 5 days per week. Remote instruction will remain available to families who prefer that option.
Parents of students in grades 8-12 are asked to complete a survey by Sunday, February 28. The survey can be found here.

HS Students Invited to Make Valentines for Nursing Home Residents in AP Chill Zone Event:
Did you know that there is scientific evidence that shows that helping others is proven to have positive impacts for both the person being helped and the person doing the helping? This year, the HS Counseling Center is offering a February AP Chill Zone event to help out people in nursing homes. A local man named Thomas Phillips created “Operation Valentine” to send Valentine’s cards to nursing home residents to brighten their day. We are asking that you please participate by either creating or signing a Valentine’s Day Card, which we will then collect and mail to local nursing homes!

Superintendent Knuth's Letter to the Community- 2/2/2021:
February 2, 2021
Dear Skaneateles family,
We are so excited to begin to see restrictions lifted throughout our region. This week we began to offer expanded in-person opportunities for our students including the addition of student activities and the start of athletics. While this is certainly a sign of progress, we were also reminded yesterday just how susceptible we still are to COVID-19 and associated orders of isolation and quarantine.
On Monday of this week, we learned of an infection at our high school that resulted in seven teachers, a teaching assistant, and 63 students being placed into mandatory 10-day quarantine due to exposure. Thank you for your continued understanding that we cannot discuss any confidential medical information ...
