Dairy Processing Bootcamp
Taylor Pelcher, a Workforce Specialist on the Dairy Foods Extension team at Cornell University is inviting students to an upcoming career development and recruitment event in partnership with Cayuga Milk Ingredients. This event will take place at Cayuga Community College (specific room location will be announced upon registration) on December 17 & 18 and is designed to introduce participants to diverse career pathways in the dairy processing industry. Students should be 17 years old or older, a senior, and will need to provide their own transportation to the program.
Any students interested in areas like electrical work, mechanics, machining, cooking, or are working towards certifications like CDL or OSHA, this event is a great way to learn about careers in food processing pertaining to those types of work. Students interested in subjects like microbiology, chemistry, food science, or nutrition will also find this event interesting, as it shows how these skills connect to jobs in dairy and food processing. More details are available in the download below.
