DAR
Daughters of the American Revolution 

Each year the Daughters of the American Revolution awards scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of education.
Below are four scholarships being offered by the DAR. Applications can be downloaded below. 

NY State DAR Scholarship, NY State Organization, NSDAR is to financially assist high school seniors 9male or female) in acquiring a higher education in a college or university in NY STATE.

Damaris Smith Desimone Scholarship, NY State Organization, NSDAR is to financially assist deserving young people in acquiring a higher education in United States History with a view to becoming better prepared for life and citizenship. 

Helen and Arnold Barben Scholarship, NY State Organization, NSDAR is to financially assist deserving young WOMEN in acquiring a higher education with a view to becoming better prepared for life and citizenship. 

Peggy Jo Power Gifford Scholarship, NY State Organization, NSDAR is to financially assist deserving young people in acquiring a higher education in United States History or Philanthropy with a view to becoming better prepared for life and citizenship. 

Deadline is January 15, 2025. 


ANN HARRIS INITIATIVE

The Ann Harris Initiative's mission is to honor the legacy of service, kindness, compassion, and talent that Ann Harris, DVM, has provided to generations of people and their pets in the Central New York area by providing programs and resources to stabilize and revitalize Emergency Veterinary Medicine in the region. 

Educational scholarships of $1,250 per semester (when enrolled full-time) for individuals interested in emergency medicine and pursuing Licensed Veterinary Technician training are available. Tuition reimbursement grants will also be made available to talented LVTs working in emergency medicine.

CNY STEM SCHOLARSHIP


The CNY Stem Scholarships are designed to support the best and brightest students in the Central New York Region in their quest to pursue STEM fields in college. The scholarships are based on applicants' academic achievements and extracurricular activities, as well as the essay and an interview. Each scholarship provides financial assistance in varying amounts and an internship. Participating companies are encouraged to offer a paid internship opportunity following the student's sophomore year of college.

The Greater Syracuse Section of the Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

The Women Engineers Scholarship is for women starting their college degree in 2025 and be enrolled full time. 

Applicants must reside or go to high school in one of the following counties Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego.

MMB ACCOUNTING DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP

MMB + Co. is offering a scholarship opportunity for minority students looking to go into the accounting field. The winner can receive a total award of up to $10,000!! 
The MMB Accounting Diversity Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to minority students seeking to pursue a career in accounting, as this field has been historically underrepresented by the minority community.
 
MMB will award two, annually renewable $2,000-per-year scholarships. The scholarship can be renewed up to five years for a maximum total award of $10,000 per recipient.
 
To apply for the MMB Accounting Diversity Scholarship:
  • Students must identify with an ethnic minority
  • Students must have applied to or currently attend a college in NYS offering an accounting program that would lead the student to Licensure as a CPA.
  • Students must have accounting as their major field of study.
Scholarship renewals will be based upon maintenance of an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Funds will be paid to the winners for the 2025 Fall semester.

CYBER SERVICE ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
 
The Cyber Service Academy scholarship program provides scholarships for students pursuing degrees in cybersecurity and related fields in exchange for service in Department of Defense or Intelligence
Community cybersecurity roles after graduation.

THE CHARTERED PROPERTY CASUALTY UNDERWRITERS (CPCU) SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIPS

The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society is a community of credentialed property and casualty insurance professionals who produce excellence through ethical behavior and continued education. The Syracuse Chapter is offering three scholarships. 

This scholarship is pen to all senior high school students planning to attend college in the fall of 2025 as a full time student.

This scholarship is open to all students who are enrolled as a full-time student for the fall of 2025 term in a Risk Management and Insurance Program in Central New York.

This scholarship is open to all sons, daughters, grandchildren, or legal wards of a Member in Good Standing of the Syracuse Chapter who plan to attend college in the fall of 2025 as a full-time student.
