Principal Profile: John Lawrence

In honor of National Principals Month, Skaneateles Central School District is highlighting one principal every week in a principal profile series. This week we are recognizing John Lawrence, principal of State Street Intermediate School.
 
Lawrence grew up in Buffalo, NY and has worked at Skaneateles for six years- three as a teacher and three as a principal. Lawrence described Skaneateles as “an incredibly supportive community” and praised all teachers for going above and beyond for their students.
 
What made him want to become a principal? “A desire to have a greater positive impact on a school building.  I enjoy working together as a team to see all students learn and grow.”
