Football Returns to the Carrier Dome, Boys X-Country Wins League Meet

SKANEATELES, NY (November 1, 2018) – As the calendar turns to November the Skaneateles High School football team is heading right back where they want to be.  The Carrier Dome.

Following a dominating victory over V-V-S last Friday, which saw Skaneateles cruise to a 47-13 win, the Lakers return to the Carrier Dome this Saturday to take on Cazenovia in the Section 3 Class B Championship.

The championship final will take place at 3 p.m.

Last week, the Skaneateles Boys Cross Country team ran to the OHSL Liberty League Championship for the first time in several years.  The Lakers bested Hannibal, Westhill, CBA and Chittenango for the championship.

Caleb Bender and Joseph Norris placed in the Top 15 positions overall to help the Lakers to victory.

Every member of the Girls’ Swimming & Diving Lakers qualified for the Class C Sectionals.  Skaneateles will host the Sectional meet on Friday, November 2 at 5 p.m. in the Skaneateles YMCA.

The Girls’ Volleyball team won their league title with an overall record of 14-4.  The Lakers will take on Hannibal this Friday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Fayetteville-Manlius for the sectional title.
