Certified Budget Vote & Board of Education Election Results
Proposition 1: Shall the Board of Education of the Skaneateles Central School District, Counties of Onondaga and Cayuga, New York, be authorized to expend the sum of $35,918,226 for the 2021-2022 school year and levy the necessary taxes when due?

Proposition 2: Shall the Board of Education of the Skaneateles Central School District be authorized to purchase and finance student transport vehicles, including necessary furnishings, fixtures and equipment and all other costs incidental thereto, and expend a total sum not to exceed $476,000, which is estimated to be the total maximum cost thereof, and said amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the levy of a tax upon the taxable property of said School District and collected in annual installments as provided by Section 416 of the Education Law; and, in anticipation of such tax, obligations of said School District, in the principal amount not to exceed $476,000, shall be issued.

Military Ballot Applications
Members of the United States Armed Forces may request an application for a military ballot to vote in the upcoming school budget and board of education election. For the May 18, 2021 Skaneateles School Budget and Board of Education Election, military applications are available online and should be returned to District Clerk Rebecca York via email to ryork@skanschools.org. Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. April 22. Download the military ballot application here.
Absentee Ballot Applications
Residents who will not be in the area on May 18, 2021 may apply for an absentee ballot at the District Office. If the absentee ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the application must be submitted at least seven days prior to the vote. If the absentee ballot is to be picked up by the voter in person, applications will be accepted until May 17, 2021. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 18, 2021. Download the absentee ballot application here.

The 2021-2022 Budget season began on October 6 when the Board of Education adopted the budget calendar for the year and administration had closed the books from the 2019-2020 school year. Please check back for more information as it becomes available.
