Below is information regarding any STEM-related extracurricular activities and summer camps that the district has been made aware of. Please check back for updates regularly.

 

July 5-17, 2015

(apply by April 30)

Worcester Polytechnic Institute - Frontiers session 1

$2,595 ($4,495 to register for both sessions). 2-week, residential, research and learning experience for soon-to-be juniors and seniors. Session 1 allows students to choose 1 of 12 STEM courses and 1 Humanities and Arts workshop.

July 19-31, 2015

Worcester Polytechnic Institute - Frontiers session 2

$2,595 ($4,495 to register for both sessions). 2-week, residential, research and learning experience for soon-to-be juniors and seniors. Session 2 immerses students in Robotics, Global Sustainability, Women's Leadership, or Engineering Exploration.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute - Launch

$895. 1-week, residential, learning and research experience for soon-to-be freshman and sophomores. Students choose to study Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Exploration, Interactive Media, Game Development, or Robotics.

National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM

Design a blue print and build a bridge. Solve a crime. Diagnose a patient. These are just a few of the exciting experiences waiting to spark your curiosity! This program is designed especially for students in third, fourth or fifth grades.

This program offers an interactive experience that introduces high-achieving middle school students to innovative and rewarding careers in engineering, environmental science, medicine, and technology.

Summer 2015 Cook Honors College (Pennsylvania) Summer Honors Program for HS Students

Talented rising high school juniors and seniors (and a few exceptional rising sophomores) get a first-hand look at life on campus.  Attend classes that are dynamic, motivating & interactive. Admission is competitive - partial scholarships are available to all students selected. 
Summer 2015 Alfred University Summer Programs - Engineering & Science Camps

Exciting engineering and science camps in Astronomy, Robotics - Computer - Ceramic & Glass Engineering, Consumer Chemistry, and Polymers & Metals Science are offered.  The age range varies from camp to camp.  Applications due by May 1, 2015.
Summer 2015 Williams College Math Camp 2015

The Williams College Math Camp (WCMC) is a free, one-week residential math camp for 18 mathematically gifted high school students who have completed or are currently enrolled in Algebra 2 or its equivalent.   One of the goals of WCMC is to inspire students by showing them a fascinating world of mathematics not seen in standard high school courses and surrounding them by like-minded mathematically curious peers.

Free! More than 3000 fun, hands-on activities for all ages. Over 150 stage shows, including music, magic, comedy, and more. A Career pavilion and College Fair for high school students.
