Jaeger Selected as Next State Street Principal
Nadia Jaeger has been selected as the new principal at State Street Elementary.Jaeger, who is currently in her second school year as Assistant Principal, is set to make the move down to the intermediate school in the Skaneateles Central School District. Her appointment will go in front of the district's Board of Education on June 16, and she will begin her new role on July 1 if approved.
Before joining the Skaneateles Central School District, Jaeger began her career as a middle and high school science teacher in the Syracuse City School District, where she developed a passion for supporting student growth and learning. She later served as Vice Principal for three years, gaining valuable leadership experience and a deep appreciation for building strong school communities.
In 2024, she joined Skaneateles High School as Assistant Principal and quickly embraced the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and work alongside the exceptional students, staff and families that make the district so special.
“I am honored and excited to take this next step in my leadership journey as the new Principal of State Street. In the time I have spent getting to know the school community, I have come to appreciate what a special place State Street is and the dedication of its staff, students and families,” Jaeger said. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and continuing the excellent work happening throughout the school. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I am eager to partner with our school community to support student success. As John Lawrence would say, “It’s a great day to be a Laker!”
Jaeger is set to take over for John Lawrence, who is departing the district to take over as Superintendent of Schools at Southern Cayuga Central School District.
