Mrs. GiGi Michel- gmichel@skanschools.org/ 315.291.2327 and Mrs. Beth Zysk- ezysk@skanschools.org/ 315-291-2326
Throughout the pandemic the Job Shadow Program explored new and exciting virtual career opportunities. Mrs. Michel teamed up with high schools in the area to offer a wide variety of virtual speakers in different types of careers and fields of interest. Please see the link below for more information on speakers. Also students take advantage of Naviance to career explore! Naviance is college and career ready software that provides students with college planning and career assessment tools. The goal is for students to gain a better understanding of their field of interest and familiarize themselves with potential careers he / she may not have known existed. In addition to exploring details on various careers, this program provides a list of colleges that offer majors related to those careers. Each student and parent / guardian in the high school has access to Naviance.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Michel or your counselor.

EMPLOYMENT OPPROTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS:
A local vet clinic is looking for someone to help a few hours after school a couple days a week as a closer. Mostly cleaning, restocking, etc., but if they like animals or want to get more experience, we can increase hours over breaks/holidays and do some vet assistant training. The ideal candidate would be at least 16. For more information, call the clinic at 315-673-4858 and speak to Manager, Gabbie Kress, or email her at gkress@lcvetcare.com
