SCS Students Represent Skaneateles in Symphoria Youth Orchestra

 SKANEATELES, NY (February 14, 2019) – A pair of Skaneateles Central Schools students represented Skaneateles on Sunday, February 10 as members of the Symphoria Youth Winter Orchestra, which took place inside the Crouse Hinds Concert Theater.

The Symphoria Youth Orchestra is comprised of some of the best young musicians in Central New York including Josh Pickup and Massimo Capozza of Skaneateles Central Schools.

The group plays some of the most diverse musical selections featuring the winner of the Symphoria Youth Orchestras Concerto Competition, Sonia Richman, and the Symphoria Youth Repertory Orchestra playing side-by-side with Symphoria musicians.

 Our very own, Karen Veverka, conducts the Symphoria Youth Repertory Orchestra and recently worked alongside Sean O’Loughlin, principal Pops Conductor with Symphoria.
