State Street Student Art Featured at Schweinfurth Art Center

The annual exhibit showcases approximately 1,000 pieces of artwork in total by regional K-12 students.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience displaying their art in a professional museum,” said Skaneateles Schools Elementary art teacher, Sue Barry.
Located at 205 Genesee St. in Auburn, the Schweinfurth Art Center is a non-profit gallery which offers five exhibitions each year featuring regional, national, and international artists.
This year’s “Both Ends of the Rainbow” exhibit will run through March 10.
An opening reception is being held for the exhibit on Sunday, January 27 from Noon to 5 p.m.
A total of 47 students from Sue Barry’s State Street art classes in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will have artwork on display.
In addition, there are many pieces of artwork from area senior citizens, which complete the “Both Ends of the Rainbow” exhibit.
The Schweinfurth Art Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
