Senator Bob Antonacci Meets with SHS Wood Frog Club

SKANEATELES, NY (November 29, 2018) – Skaneateles High School freshman, Lili Winkelman (pictured far left), has been working since 2014 to make the Wood Frog the official amphibian of New York State. On Thursday morning, Winkelman and Skaneateles High School’s Wood Frog Club met with Senator Bob Antonacci to continue the process.
Earlier this month, Senator Antonacci won the race for state Senate in the 50th District, succeeding the retiring John DeFrancisco, who has sponsored the Wood Frog bill for five consecutive years.
Senator Antonacci spoke with students on a variety of topics, declaring his support for the bill, and discussing options for helping the bill to pass in the state Assembly, which it has failed to do the last five years.
