Procedure

After choosing your sport, find an athlete within that sport who has won a medal. There should be lots of information about your athlete. Ask yourself these questions:

1. Has this athlete been covered in one of the Recommended books:

• Nike Is a Goddess : The History of Women in Sports by Lissa Smith (Editor), Lisa Smith (Editor), Mariah Burton Nelson (Introduction)
  
• The Women's Sports Encyclopedia by Robert Markel (Editor) et al.

2. Is this athlete covered in the Distinguished Women Past and Present website?
