STEM Camp - for students entering Grade 1
Mon, 7/31- Fri, 8/4 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.


In this week long STEM Camp, incoming 1st graders will take part in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math activities. Activities will be based on the Smithsonian’s STC Elementary Science and Engineering Design Curriculum. Students will explore the structures, needs, and life cycles of plants and animals. They will plant seeds and watch them grow, and will set up habitats for zebra fish and milkweed bugs to observe. Finally, they will explore human impact on the environment.


STEM Camp - for students entering Grade 2
Mon, 8/7- Fri, 8/11 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.


In this week long STEM Camp, incoming 2nd graders will take part in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math activities. Activities will be based on the Smithsonian’s STC Elementary Science and Engineering Design Curriculum. The students will define the problem of how to send messages using sound and light. They will then collect evidence through hands-on activities to determine what makes sound. After investigating and understanding sound, the students will make a simple instrument that can be used to send a message.

Maker/Robotics/Coding Camp (Gr. 1-2)
Mon, 8/14- Fri, 8/18 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Mon, 8/21- Fri, 8/25 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.


A makerspace is a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials. During this week long camp, students will have the opportunity to use Legos, City Blocks, Kinex, Zoob Blocks, Marble Runs, Tubes, Sewing Machines, Dash and Dot, Ozobots, iPads, Kindles, Chromebooks, PCs, Makey Makey, Electronics, Snap Circuits, Little Bits, etc., to create, invent, tinker, explore, code and discover!
Both weeks of this camp are identical. Please sign-up for only one of them.

World Languages Summer Camp (Gr. 1-6)
Mon, 7/24 - Th, 8/3 (No Fridays) from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.


Research shows that the earlier children are exposed to foreign languages, the better. Children have an innate ability to acquire multiple languages. In this camp, students will be introduced to different foreign languages and cultures, including Spanish and Italian. Language learning will be framed in meaningful communicative contexts, including social situations, cultural experiences, songs, rhymes, skits, demonstration activities, games, crafts, and stories. Each child will acquire an understanding and appreciation of other cultures.


Bubble Bonanza: Engineering Bubble Wands (Gr. 3-6 STEM Camp)
Mon, 8/7- Fri, 8/11 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.


In this camp, students will engage in the Engineering Design Process by asking questions, imagining solutions, planning their designs, creating different models, and improving on their designs. Activities will center around the Engineering is Elementary unit "Engineering Bubble Wands." In this unit, Jacob and India are in California, and they get to help create a stage show about bubbles for an amusement park! Kids will explore how bubbles behave and investigate the properties of different materials as they engineer all kinds of bubble wands. The unit wraps up with a Bubble Bonanza Showcase where kids demonstrate their creations.

Summer Art Studio in Skaneateles (Gr. 3-7)
Mon, 8/21- Fri, 8/25 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.


“SASS” is the new Summer Art Studio in Skaneateles! This year, we will focus on creating 3-dimensional artwork, using clay and paper-mache. This is a great chance to explore the “3-Dimensional” artistic side of your creativity!
