Look who was Caught Giving Their Extra Ten Percent!

We’re all doing it, but please join us in congratulating the staff who were nominated for The Laker Way award for March 2017! 
 
DAWN TEIXEIRA
I would like to nominate Dawn Teixeira for The Laker Way Award!  Dawn consistently gives her extra ten percent on a daily basis making sure all 490 students are accounted for and that all teachers and teacher aides have sub coverage whenever they need it.  She can calmly resolve the most hectic of situations and somehow make it look effortless.  Always willing and eager to help anyone with any task, she has even been known to find last minute subs from home on her scheduled day off as only she can!  Dawn truly cares about our students and knows just about every one of them by their first names – did I mention there are 490 of them?  In short, Dawn takes pride in the work she performs and she carries out every task with excellence and finesse!
 
RON MOORE, PJ HOADLEY AND AL STEVENS - Not pictured
I would like to nominate Ron Moore and his ground crew (PJ and Al).  They worked relentless hours to get our campus ready for school after two consecutive snow days.  This allowed us to open without a delay and all faculty and students were able to walk and park safely on our campus.  Last there hard work with the removal of snow from the turf this past week.  Now our teams are safely on the turf and out the the gym!
 
I would like to recognize the Grounds Crew for going the extra mile and doing great things! Their extra ten percent came through LOUD and CLEAR during the snow storm eariler this month.  Ron Moore, PJ Hoadley and Al Stevens worked tirelessly clearing snow and keeping our campus open during and after Winter storm Stella.    
I would like to nominate Ron moore, Alan stevens, and PJ Hoadley for their work keeping the school plowed out during the storm.

Who else could pull off the massive task of the Sophomore Circus on a Friday and leave the country on an educational field trip the following Thursday.  Come on Kate.... give it at least one full week!  There is no doubt she will return to the great USofA and zip through our halls with the biggest smile like only Kate can!
