MISSION STATEMENT

The faculty and staff at Waterman School, working together with students, parents and community, strive for excellence in education by encouraging lifelong learners who are respectful, responsible, honest, caring and healthy.

Waterman School is "A Great Place to Begin!" There are approximately 321 students and 45 full and part time staff members. We have a developmentally appropriate curriculum that is continually reviewed and revised by our coordinators and teachers. Our children also participate in special area classes including physical education, library, music, art and computer. We emphasize early intervention in literacy and math so that all children can be successful as they begin their school career.

Waterman School is a friendly, child-centered school. Our character education program focuses on four Waterman Words: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring. Our theme this year is "Got Manners?" We stress our Waterman Words and manners at weekly Friday Morning and Afternoon meetings, in the classroom and throughout the building.

We are looking forward to a wonderful 2009-2010 school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Waterman office at 291-2351.
