Text Box: Character Education Text Box: About Our Character Education Program In keeping with the Waterman Elementary School Mission Statement, we have identified four traits which we feel are important for good citizenship. These traits are respect, responsibility, compassion and honesty. We expect the children to demonstrate these traits in the following ways: Respect Children will show that people and things are important by the way they behave and cooperate. Responsibility Children will complete tasks in a timely fashion. They will control their own impulses, actions and emotions. Compassion Children will treat themselves and others with kindness.
