State Street School is involved in a 
variety of meaningful partnerships with such     programs and organization as:  D.A.R.E. – a drug awareness program sponsored by the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department, PTC – a parent/teacher organization founded in 1945, Helping Hands – a town-sponsored, confidential service  begun in 1994 to provide funds for students whose families are in financial need and Skaneateles Holiday Basket Committee – a community/school program which furnishes holiday food baskets to families in need.
Text Box: The Skaneateles Central School District, composed of the Village of Skaneateles and several small rural communities, is located on and around Skaneateles Lake, one of New York’s Finger Lakes.  The district is 18 miles with a downtown often populated by tourists.  This diverse community includes merchants and    professionals, farmers and academics, and business owners and retirees.
Text Box: Activities
The State Street School facilities are host to an 
expansive collection of community activities.  A sampling includes:  Odyssey of the Mind,  Cub Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts, and many 
sporting activities such as :  Lakeshore Baseball and Softball, Bill Delaney Basketball, Skaneateles 
Summer Lacrosse, Summer Soccer, and  Youth Hockey.

Allyn Arena hosts State Street School’s “Learn to Skate” program.

Text Box: The Library  also houses an  art gallery, both are resources used by State Street students.

Students help to clean up the  Nature Trail  for  “Make a Difference Day”
