Richard Pound, Director of Athletics

Entering into his third year at the helm of the Skaneateles Athletic Program, Mr. Pound brings his 18 years of academic and athletic experience to enhance the already outstanding sports teams here at Skaneateles.  He began his passion for academics and athletics while a two-sport athlete at St. Lawrence University. 

 

Mr. Pound was a high school counselor in the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District from 1995 - 2005 where he coached Varsity Football & Lacrosse.  Prior to HF-L, he worked in Massena, New York where he was a middle school counselor and coach from 1990 –  1995.

 

Mr. Pound earned his Bachelor Degree in Sociology from St. Lawrence University in 1989, as well as his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Development in 1990 and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling and Human Development in 1995.  He went on to acquire an additional Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at the State University College at Oswego in 2003.

 

Mr. Pound lives in Pittsford, New York with his wife and three children
